School Year for Grades 1 through 8 Only
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION REGISTRATION GRADES 1-8
Religious Education registration will take place the weekends of August 29 & 30 and again September 12 & 13. This will be your opportunity to register your child(ren) for classes for the next school year.
Please be aware that First Confession and First Communion are a two-year program. Sacraments will be made at the end of the second year. You must be registered in our Parish and be a practicing, contributing family with proven Mass attendance. We also need a copy of a baptismal certificate for your child(ren) if we don't have it already.
In addition, we're looking for teachers and assistants to help us teach our children. If you're at all interested, please contact Terry Sheldon-Brown at 850-2535 or dre@strosereno.com. We will teach you everything you need to know to work with our young ones.
We're also looking for helpers to participate in our children's liturgy during the 10:30 am Sunday Mass beginning in October. Those of you that are enthusiastic about this, please step up to the plate and help us. The more volunteers we get, the less each person will have to give of their time each month.
Confirmation is a separate program. Please look for information on the portion of the website under Confirmation.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION INFORMATION
All parents have the responsibility to take an active role in teaching their children their Catholic faith. Religious Education classes are only supplements to the education that your child should receive. Parents are the primary catechists of their children.
St. Rose of Lima offers our parish children faith formation through an after-school program. These faith formation classes work towards catechizing children and their families, but they only enhance what the parents are teaching their children.
