Learn about the Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus, Council John Vianney at St. Rose, is inviting Catholic gentlemen who are not Knights to learn more about the Knights of Columbus and join our Council.

With 1.8 million members in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia, the Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic lay organization.  Founded in 1882 by the Venerable Servant of God Father Michael J. Here at St. Rose, Council John Vianney chartered in June, 2005 has donated $62,000 to our Church and various charities and groups such as Cancer Association, Children’s Cabinet, Casa de Vida, St. Vincent’s, Seminarians, Boy Scouts, Alzheimer’s Association, Trainer Middle School, and Marvin Picollo, Special Olympics, St. Mary’s, Hospice, Solace Tree, Reno Gospel Mission and Food Bank of NV, Catholic Radio, Divine Mercy Billboard, Bishop Manogue scholarship.   In addition countless volunteer hours were donated by the members of Council 13842.

At the conclusion of all the Saturday and Sunday Masses during the month of March, Knights will be in the narthex to answer question about the Knights of Columbus; also available are membership applications.  Stop by and say hello to fellow parishioners.  We have pamphlets on “How to say The Rosary” and “A guide to Confession.”
